Werribee City FC is thrilled to announce the appointment of Jeff Olver as the clubs new Senior Assistant Coach & Goal Keeper Coach.
"Jeff Olver played 37 times for Australia. He was part of the Australian team that made the Quarter Finals of the 1988 Olympic Football Tournament. Jeff is often regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers Australia has ever produced. Up until 2009 Jeff had the highest international caps for Australia (54) and competed in the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
Jeff played for Heidelberg and Melbourne Croatia in the Australian National Soccer League, playing over 500 first team games. He is a member of the Football Federation Australia - Football Hall of Fame.
As of March 2015 Jeff was made a life time member of the Football Federation Victoria.
With Over 25 years of experience, Jeff has coached at an array of different football clubs, including working for the FFV for 9 years. He has also worked for the National Women's team as both an assistant national coach and national coach. Jeff has coached a number of clubs at the Victorian Premier League level which have included Bulleen Lions, Heidelberg United. Jeff has also been heavily involved in youth development, running an array of programs at Carlton Soccer Club and South
Melbourne Soccer Club with the culmination of winning the Australia Championship with the Carlton Youth Team in 2000."
